How to disable anonymous access in Cognos 8
By default, an anonymous access to the Cognos Connection portal is allowed and there is no user authentication.
The anonymous access can be disabled on the machine where content manager is installed (including the failover content manager).
Go to Cognos configuration -> Security -> Authentication -> Cognos, click on 'Allow anonymous access?' and select 'No'.
To ensure that only select users have unrestricted access to Public Folders in Cognos Connection, the Everyone group must be removed from the System Administrators role.
